How To Assemble A Good PC

PROCESSOR(CPU)

INTEL has always been undisputed leader in the making excellent processors until AMD came up its biggest competitor.

I have always analyzed that INTEL has a good will, which make their products costly. I bet AMD will give you better product for the same amount. AMD is par excellent as INTEL, especially AMD with ASUS system board combination.

I will use the AMD website for the list of processors (Same applies even if you decide on INTEL). Every processor will list its capability and efficiency.
I checked and found AMD Phenom as the best choice for an Ultimate Gaming machine. AMD Phenom X4 and X3 are the best processors in the group. AMD describes it as built from the ground up for true quad- and triple core performance, AMD Phenom processors speed through advanced multitasking, critical business productivity, advanced visual design and modeling, serious gaming, and visually stunning digital media and entertainment.
You may check the Product brief on the same page. It will tell you what this processor is capable of, by this I do not mean technical jargons but non-tech language. In addition, you can also learn about Features & Benefits, Key Architecture Features, Technical Documentation, White Papers and most important Compatibility Information and Recommended Components of this processor. You get the feel that I never knew my processor so well.
Last step is to decide on the Processor Model for the decided Processor Line, which in our case is AMD Phenom X4 and X3. On the Home page of AMD Phenom X4 and X3, along with the above links we have Compare Phenom Specs. On this page, you will see all the models for all Processor lines and each model will have View Detail for in-depth analysis of the model. This will help you to make the most accurate decision for parts, yet to be analyzed.
Same way if you want a server equivalent machine with enormous processing power, go for AMD Opteron and follow above mentioned steps to know your processor better.

MOTHERBOARD(SYSTEM BOARD) + CHIPSET

After deciding on your dream processor, now we use the Compatibility Information and Recommended Components to see the AMD recommended Motherboards. These recommendations are very reliable as AMD does rigorous stress testing on these combinations.
After going through the details of every model for AMD Phenom X4 Processor Line, I have chosen AMD Phenom™ X4 Quad-Core, Model 9950 with frequency of 2600 MHz (Best in the group).
Now on the Compatibility Information and Recommended Components page will select our processor with the minute details for the most suitable board. I have a great board: ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe/WiFi-AP. Once you get the list of AMD recommended boards, go to the each manufacturers’ site and study each board individually. This will help you see what extra one has over other. For example, MSI may give you great board but ASUS may give you great board with WiFi on board, two Network cards, more internal storage capacity, Motherboard heat sink, fanless environment etc. Believe me, better you analyze – money spent is justified better.
When it comes to chipset, you really don’t have to worry as all motherboard manufactures’ give the best chip sets for their boards. The best chipset manufacturers are AMD, Intel and NVIDIA. There are others as well but preferably stay with the best.
Our motherboard has AMD 790FX Chipset, which is the best combination with our AMD processor.
ASUS will give you every detail about the motherboard on the board page.

MEMORY(RAM)

Well, we just finished the toughest part. Memory selection is easy as you motherboard will tell you what good for it. In our case, DDR2-1066 is the best choice. This board can support memory with lesser frequency but it’s good to go for the best. Since our board has great expandability we don’t have to buy everything in one go. I mean processor and board are the system foundation. After this if we run short on cash, get only one memory stick of 2 or 4 GB. You can keep expanding it later as you need it. Same applies to other stuff too, like Graphics card or Sound card etc. Best manufacturers for memory are Kingston, Transcend and Corsair

GRAPHICS CARD

You can always use Compatibility Information and Recommended Components information on the AMD website for recommendations for other system parts as well.
Graphics is something where ‘More the better’. If you can afford you can get great graphics card with 2GB video memory, heavy gamer will need this for better performance. ASUS and NVIDIA makes the best High-End cards. Have a look yourself on their sites.

HARD DRIVE

Storage is again a matter of personal preference. Only factor could be the HDD RPM, the more the RPM better is the response time for the disk. Frankly, 7k or 10k RPM is so fast that you wont notice any change when running 15k HDD. Still your call… Best SEAGATE

SOUND CARD

This is again you call according to your needs or how loud you wanna get?
Best manufacturer is Creative.

CABINET

This is very important part. Heavy Processor and Motherboard will create more heat and may likely incur more damages to themselves. ASUS Heat sink will bring down the system temperature by 10 degrees but you do need good cabinet to make sure of proper airflow and temperature control.
Cooler Master makes the best cabinets and you can choose according to your needs.

POWER UNIT(SMPS)

More components inside the box more power is needed. Normal machine will just need 250 or 390 Watts unit. However if you are going to run four High-End graphics card then you will need 1000 or 1250 Watts unit. Visit Cooler Master and identify a product of you needs.

MONITOR

Completely depends on your needs. Best ones are from LG, SAMSUNG, VIEWSONIC, SHARP, DELL and APPLE.

UPS
Your call. Best is American Power Conversion. Get the one that suits your need.

Appreciate your time to read through. I hope this has been useful. Please let me know your comments and suggestions. If you like me to discuss on a topic, just let me know. I will try my best to impress you. See ya around.

Happy Shopping.

Yoga For Women

Yoga has been gaining immense popularity due to the short-term as well as long-term benefits that it provides.

Today Many Women are spending their lifes with stress overload, due to their heavy responsibilities at home and office. This can cause exhaustion, depression, as well as numerous stress-related physical complaints.  Taking up yoga can help redress the balance, by instead, engaging the parasympathetic (quietening) nervous system which produces the ‘relaxation response’.

Taking up yoga provides Fitness and Flexibility to the body and provides solutions to the Health Disorders and one can achieve an All-Round Development Of a calm, stress-free mind.

Women can take up yoga at any age and without being in top physical condition. It is a relaxing experience, not an exhausting one and carries with it an overall sense of well being. The psychological benefits of the practice are as marked as the physical changes.

Yoga Benefits Women In Every Life Stage

The Importance of Yoga

Yoga have been developed over centuries of research and experience. They have been found to be extremely effective in Increasing flexibility of the body which leads to a healthier body. Yoga also helps in losing excessing flab and weight which is a major problem which women are facing now. Yoga routines will vary depending on the purpose for which you seek to do yoga - it may be for better fitness or for specific ailments. Yoga can be a wonderful antidote to our stressful lives.  The deep breathing, stretching, and relaxation techniques not only help release tension in the body, but can also quiet a busy mind.

Here are two simple yoga practices which keeps your mind and body relax.

1. ‘Legs up the Wall’ Pose

In this passive inversion, you can’t help but relax as it nourishes the nervous system and rejuvenates the circulation. Sit side on to a wall and then flip the legs up the wall to lie on your back.  Shuffle your bottom in as close as possible to the wall. Have your arms to the side or bent up overhead. Close your eyes and stay here for anywhere between 2 – 15 minutes.  Breathe deeply and slowly.

2.‘Alternate Nostril’ Breath

I’ve coached corporate groups in this breathing technique, and after just a few rounds, people appear so much more relaxed and calm.  It’s a great, quick-fix way to centre yourself at any time when you are feeling anxious – before that job interview, or difficult meeting, for example!

Sit up tall in a comfortable position on the floor or in a chair.  Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.  Then place the index and middle fingers of your right hand at the point between the two eyebrows.  Close the right nostril with the thumb and take a slow, gentle breath in through the left nostril, then close the left nostril with the ring finger and exhale without force through the right nostril.  Inhale again through the right nostril, and then, closing the right nostril and opening the left nostril, exhale.  That’s one round.  Complete 5 – 15 rounds in your own time. When finished, lower your hand to your lap and breathe naturally for a few cycles before opening your eyes, and easing back into your day .

To get the maximum benefits of yoga one has to combine the practices of yogasanas, pranayama and meditation.Regular practice of asanas, pranayama and meditation can help such diverse ailments such as diabetes, blood pressure, digestive disorders, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, chronic fatigue, asthma, varicose veins and heart conditions.

According to medical scientists, yoga therapy is successful because of the balance created in the nervous and endocrine systems which directly influences all the other systems and organs of the body. Yoga acts both as a curative and preventive therapy. The very essence of yoga lies in attaining mental peace, improved concentration powers, a relaxed state of living and harmony in relationships.

Yoga and Diet.Diet also plays a vital role in yoga It is said that our level of development, mental and spiritual, is reflected in the kind of food we take.

Some of the Food to be taken for good health are Fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, wheat and oats. Butter, ghee (clarified butter) and all good natural plant-based oils like sesame, olive and sunflower. Dairy products like milk, ghee, yogurt and cottage cheese from dairy animals who`ve been treated well.Avoid taking meat, junk foods, alcohol, tobacco.

Yoga Meditation

Yogic meditation is a means of training the being to tune itself to the workings of the Divine Being. The central principle of such meditation is to concentrate one`s mental faculties upon the object of quest. But it requires long hours of practice for the mind to be able to attain such sustainable levels of concentration and absorption. This discipline, above everything else, is the essence of yoga meditation.

The success of yogic meditation depends largely on the sincerity and strength of the yogi behind it. It is not the duration but the intensity of the aspiring consciousness, which is more important and ultimately effective. Fatigue is to be avoided at all costs, since it weakens the power of concentration and jades the mind.

Yoga meditation puts the being of the meditating yogi in a condition of increased and conscious receptivity to the workings of yoga shakti or the power of yoga. With a deepening of this state of mind there is often a total withdrawal from the external environment.

Yoga and Woman’s Life Stages

A regular yoga practice is beneficial in every stage of life. When an individual goes through changes, such as those associated with pregnancy, menstruation, or menopause, illness or injury, yoga helps them approach life with more equanimity. Yoga practitioners with depression, eating disorders, arthritis, or bone loss find that yoga can contribute to their healing. Special sequences of poses are available for a wide variety of health conditions. A yoga practice is healing and preventative of many types of illness. It can be emotionally balancing and spiritually nourishing. Yoga can help women on a day-to-day basis by allowing time for inner focus in a culture that is often hurried and which many women find stressful.

Pregnancy Yoga

In pregnancy, yoga helps bring your whole being into balance. Taking time out from a busy life to process the changes you are experiencing is beneficial. Yoga can also help you prepare emotionally and mentally for the anticipated change in your life when you give birth. Emotions are calmed and quieted with the practice of yoga poses and breathing exercises. Breathing exercises develop your inner awareness and can help you give birth by making it easier to consciously relax the body with breath. Yoga postures help you become more adept at changing positions, which is useful in the process of labor and childbirth. You will feel more comfortable in your body which helps you feel better in pregnancy. Aches and pains of pregnancy can be diminished or alleviated with a yoga practice. You can work with your bodily changes to learn how to move ergonomically, freeing your energy with better posture. You can more easily tap into your instinctual self, which will assist you in the birth process.

If you have ever had a miscarriage, do not do yoga during your first trimester. These early months are the most vulnerable time of pregnancy. Avoid standing poses, inversions, twists, and backbends at this time. You can do forward bends, preferably gentle ones over bolsters or pillows. As you progress to the second trimester, you can vary the poses more. Twists can be done very gently in the last two trimesters. Shavasana, the relaxation pose in which you lie on your mat, can be done lying on your side instead of your back. In the third trimester, modify the yoga poses as your weight distribution changes. Your center of balance is different. Don’t put pressure on or compress the belly to keep the baby safe. The priority in prenatal yoga is not to put stress on the baby-to-be. Learn to use yoga props to adapt poses so they are easier for you to perform. Doing poses next to the wall or with a chair works well, and a prenatal yoga teacher can show you how.

The yoga pose that is considered the best preparation for childbirth is Baddha Konasana, or Cobbler’s Pose, and is also called the Bound Angle Pose. It is a hip opener that also works to open the pelvic area. Sit upright on your yoga mat or a cushion. Place the soles of your feet together and bring the heels toward your pelvic area. Your knees will splay out to the sides. You will feel work in your upper thighs, next to the groin area. Breathe and relax with the intensity so that you can release it. If your knees don’t reach the floor, you can place a pillow under each one. You can sit upright, or you can lean forward with your chest supported on a bolster or two. A third way to do the pose is reclining. Try leaning back onto a couple of bolsters with a small extra pillow for your head. The reclining version helps if you are getting up to urinate frequently at night. If you do this for 10 minutes or more at bedtime, it can help.

Pregnancy and ashtanga yoga are an especially good match since this form of yoga follows a well-defined set of movements to come into and out of poses in a way that completely absorbs the consciousness while stilling the thoughts.

Yoga for Menstruation

Women are cyclic in their nature and physiology. Most sequences of poses for menstruation include supported forward bends. Forward bends quiet the brain and are perfect for this time in which one typically feels like going inward. For health reasons, it is suggested that you avoid doing inversions during menstruation. Some women also avoid standing poses or backbends at this time. Having a regular practice with a variety of yoga poses for the rest of the month is recommended for women, keeping them healthy, fit and emotionally centered. Yoga helps a woman deal with heavy or irregular menses and PMS. Special sequences exist for these and other problems. Depending on why she is having difficulty becoming pregnant, certain yoga poses may help women become more fertile.

Overall, a woman can balance her endocrine system, improve her blood circulation, develop better posture, become more toned, have better physical balance, increase her flexibility and strength, and build her immune system through yoga practice. A lifelong and daily practice will cultivate the many health benefits and spiritual growth possible with yoga throughout all stages of life.

Some women have found that a regular yoga routine will even out their periods and alleviate the anxiety and depression common at "that time of the month." Also, by strengthening the abdominal muscles, yoga has been found to decrease painful cramping.

Cheap Computer Guide - Computer Memory and its functions

PART 1
Computer memory is the fastest, simplest and cheapest
upgrade for your computer

Computer memory is very important to your system's functions.
A computer system's memory is its workspace. Everything the computer does is processed somewhere in memory.
The two main types of memory are Random Access Memory (RAM) and Read Only Memory (ROM).
Random Access Memory (RAM):
This is the computer's working memory and it has two distinct characteristics. (1) RAM is volatile which means all information stored in the chip will be lost when the system is turned off and (2) RAM can be written to and read from.
Today's operating systems (such as Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7) and application software require large amounts of RAM (Temporary Memory).
There are different types of RAM :
Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM)
This is most commonly used for main memory. DRAM is also referred to as fast page-mode (FPM). Since this is one of the cheapest types of computer memory, it is used as main memory in most computer systems. DRAM must constantly be refreshed on a regular basis; hence, while it is being refreshed, it cannot be read or written to. This causes system slow-down, which can be compensated by two methods; namely, paging and interleaving.
Paging:?? Improves memory speed since the memory is accessed in chunks called pages; hence, the name Paging. Accessing computer memory in pages is almost like reading a book because as long as the book is open at a certain page, you can read from the top, the bottom or anywhere on the page.
If you want to read the next page, you simply have to wait until the page turns which takes longer than skipping around on the page to read different sections. This is how paged memory works. Because when a page of memory is accessed, data can be read from anywhere in that section of memory.
Changing to a different page requires more time; therefore, the computer has to add a wait state. This wait state is time wasted for the Computer's CPU (Central Processing Unit) which has to wait until it can access memory (RAM). Click here icon and here iconto view cheap computer memory.
If you have fast enough RAM, the CPU does not have to wait to access data; hence the system has a "zero wait state". But since DRAM needs to be constantly refreshed, wait states are sometimes required.
Interleaving:?? Interleaved memory is accessed faster than paged memory. With interleaved memory, odd bytes are one bank and even bytes are in another bank. While one bank is being accessed, the other can be refreshed, saving time.
By using interleaving, computer memory access can be almost doubled without using faster computer memory chips.
Extended Data Output (EDO)This is an enhanced version of DRAM. Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM)
This is a type of DRAM that runs in synchronization with the system bus. SDRAM can operate at higher clock rates than standard DRAM. If SDRAM is used for main system memory, wait states are reduced or eliminated because the signals are already synchronized with the motherboard clock. SDRAM is the most popular type of memory used in new computer systems. At present, SDRAM can operate at speeds in excess of 800 MHz.
Static RAM
This operates just like DRAM except for one important difference - It does not need to be refreshed; hence the word static which means fixed. Since this computer memory is fixed or static and doesn't need to be refreshed, it can be accessed much faster than DRAM. Click here to look at some RAM RAM
Access times for SRAM can be below 2 nanoseconds (ns) while access times for DRAM are between 60ns and 70ns. Since SRAM is faster than DRAM, why isn't SRAM used for all the system memory? Unfortunately, SRAM is physically larger, cost more to produce and consumes more power than DRAM.
Read Only Memory (ROM)
This is non-volatile memory which contains data that isn't lost when the computer is turned off. ROM is programmed into the chip by the manufacturer which means information is written to ROM during the manufacturing process. This information doesn't change once its written - it's stored in the chip permanently. ROM is used on motherboards, modems, video cards, etc. to store data, programs and instructions that must be retained when the system is powered down.
One good example is the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) which is used to boot your system.
On boot up, the computer loads data from read-only memory (ROM) and performs a power-on self-test (POST) to ensure that all the components are operating properly. During POST, the computer memory controller checks all the memory addresses with a quick read/write operation to make sure that the memory chips have no errors.
BIOS is loaded from ROM and provides information about boot sequence, storage devices, security, etc.
Following this, the operating system (OS) is loaded from the hard drive into the system memory (RAM) where critical sections of the OS are retained as long as the computer is powered on.
This feature allows the processor to have immediate access to the operating system which enhances the overall performance of the system.
If an application is opened, it is loaded into RAM and only essential sections of the program are initially loaded and then other sections are loaded as required. Doing this, conserves RAM usage.
While using an application, any files that are opened are loaded into RAM.
After completion, the file can be saved and the application closed. When this is completed, the file is written to the dedicated storage device (hard drive) and both are cleared from the computer memory (RAM).

This process is ongoing as applications are opened, used, saved and closed.
